Never Before in Thailand

Last night, with more than 100,000 people around Bangkok's Democracy Monument, the Thais said out loud for the very first time that we need to see the entire political structure radically reformed, including with the once off-limit and unspeakable monarchy. The people, mostly the youngsters, have broken through a taboo and a tightly locked door. Though long and rough roads ahead, they won't succumb to the same old honey traps of my generations. I am hugely proud of them.
These are what they have now asked for:
1. Cancel Article 6 of the Constitution which forbids any lawsuits against the king.
2. Cancel Article 112 of the Constitution which punishes any royal critics and gives a blanket amnesty to all the current charged and convicted under such laws.
3. Cancel the Act of The Royal Crown Properties.
4. Reduce and adjust the government-allocating royal budgets to suit the economy.
5. Cancel the private section of royal bureaucrats.
6. Cancel any donations to the royal family members.
7. Cancel any royal public political comments.
8. Cancel any cult-like PR and propaganda for the monarchy.
9. Conduct serious investigations on the killings and disappearances.
10. Forbid the king from signing into law any coup d'tat ever again.
Many Thais are still stunned and shocked by these progressive move. Many oldtimers are busily replacing these 10 points with the lame 3 points, which will give them nothing at the end. Some old dudes are still trying to reverse the tide of history. These Buddhists should start learning what Buddhism teaches them all their lives: the state of wisdom and impertinence.
As someone deep into the study of Thai monarchy all my life, i know fullly well that numerous rich Thai cultures and traditions stem from their very existence. I, for one, can defend the monarchy culturally, but at my wit's end if I must defend this institution politically. These 10 points should be accepted peacefully and rationally, so Thailand can emerge from this mental black hole and march into a brighter future for us all.
Let's stop the nonsense and embrace the emerging new Thailand. The oldies must grow up for once and for all.
